Add color to the eyes!

Bright eye colors are IN right now! It’s better to use one color at a time. I created this look in bright turquoise, but you can pick any color of your choice and apply it evenly all over the moving part of the eye lids and adding same color on the upper lids as well. Blend the color with a soft touch of neutral eyeshadow (e.g. soft peach, golden brown, beige).
This is a very bold look, which requires dramatic eyelashes! After you eye makeup is complete, curl your lashes with an eyelash curler and apply a thin layer of black mascara starting from the base of your eye lashes and moving slowly to the tips of your lashes to darken, thicken and define them. Let dry and apply another layer of mascara. Repeat this until you have the desired effect, but be careful not to overdo it!

GO CURLY!

If you have straight hair and you want it to look curly there are many possibilities to achieve the desired effect yourself without the help of a hairdresser.
To achieve a delicate curled effect, it is best to use rollers in your hair. Start with clean damp hair, then apply a small amount of a good quality styling mouse to your hair. Blow dry you hair until almost dry, then secure rollers onto the hair. Use larger or smaller rollers depending on the effect you want to achieve. When choosing the size of rollers, remember this – the smaller the rollers, the tighter the curls will be. Leave rollers in and let hair dry naturally. Blow dry on low if you want to get faster results. Once dry remove rollers and run your fingers through the curls to separate them and spread your curls. In the end, spray your hair with a gentle fixing spray to assure that the curls last. Once curled, style you hair as you desire.

BRIGHT LIPS

The biggest, boldest makeup message of the season is hard to miss – get ready for HIGH-IMPACT LIPS.

It’s refreshing to see something so optimistic in terms of color. Yes, bright lips require bravery, but those tones add so much color, personality, and light, who wouldn’t want to take the chance? One strong accent is so powerful. The range of reds ruled at this season’s ready to wear shows of Christian Lacroix, Dolce & Gabbana, Armani, Gucci, Yves Saint Lorain, Sonia Rykiel.

If you want your lip color to stay longer without touch ups, first apply lip pencil all over your lips, then apply a thin layer of lipstick, powder your lips with a sponge and then apply another layer of lipstick – and voila! your lips are going to look fresh for hours.

PARTY MAKE-UP

Every woman wants to look gorgeous everywhere she goes, every party or social event she attends. Here are some guides that will help you look and feel seductive, hot, maybe even extravagant – it’s up to you to choose your look with accordance to your current mood!

SEDUCTIVE MAKE-UP
The Event: Sexy Dinner Date

HOW TO:

  • Dot a sheer light-reflecting foundation over areas that need evening out (such as around your eyes and nose, cheeks and chin) and blend in.
  • Apply cream blush in soft peach to the apples of your cheeks and blend gently towards the hairline.
  • Play up eyes with deep khaki greens, plums, and navys. Use metallic shades and layer creams and powders to make your eyes stand out without looking too made up.
  • Soft pink lips give ultra-feminine look a flirty finish.
  • Complete the look with glowing, highlighted skin. Apply powder or cream highlighter to the cheeks and to the brow bone. Also use shimmer all over the body for a sexy look.
SOPHISTICATED MAKE-UP
The Event: Black-Tie Do.
This is a sophisticated look with honey skin and darker eyes.

HOW TO:

  • For the evening look it’s best to apply foundation all over your face, paying special attention to the area under eyes. Use there a light-reflecting concealer to bring special attention to your eyes.
  • Gently powder your face with the finest loose powder to fix your foundation for an extra long-lasting effect.
  • Then you are ready to apply dark eye shadow to the eyelids. Choose color that is quite dark to deepen your eyes, but not too dark to avoid “dirty” effect. Apply eyeshadow all over moving part of you eyelids and blend the color up towards the eyebrows. Make sure you get the eye shadow all the way to the lashes – use a thin brush for this – and blend it in beneath the eyes as well.
  • Hot pink lip gloss adds volume to your lips.
  • Finish off with an orange rouge. It’s a great color if you want to draw attention to your cheekbones, but not distract form your eyes.
    ROCK ‘N’ ROLL MAKE-UP
    The Event: Cocktails and Dancing.
Contrast intense eyes with immaculate, pale lips.

    HOW TO:

  • Apply foundation, concealer and powder as above.
  • Then apply a grayish/black or brownish/black eyeshadow to the lid, which fades out at the sides and under the eyes. This frames the eyes and gives them a sharp look.
  • After that apply a softer golden-beige eyeshadow on the edges of dark eye shadow to soften it up.
  • Then apply black eyeliner pencil on the rim of your eyelid – this makes the eyes look sharp and deep – and lots of black mascara.
  • Contour your face with rouge and a highlighter.
  • Apply a thin layer of matte nude lipstick and you are ready to rock ‘ n ‘ roll!

Winter Skin

Cold winter wind and central heating make skin exhausted. So treat it to more intensive skincare than usual. Apply night cream in the mornings and moisturizing day cream at nights. Also you can invest in moisturizing serums that have an extra impact on your skin’s moisture level. Keep up the good work with moisturizing foundation. In winter time I would suggest trying foundations with thicker coverage, which will give extra protection to your skin. Tackle under-eye circles with a light-reflecting concealer. Shiny face looks great in summer, so keep your chin, nose and forehead matte with a light dusting of the finest loose powder.
